I'm a creative, inquisitive, collaborative, and detail-oriented instructional designer and eLearning specialist skilled in creating quality learning experiences that incorporate adult learning principles and engage learners. I have experience conducting needs analysis to identify gaps and determine appropriate learning objectives, tools, and modalities. I utilize elements of the ADDIE model and SAM to guide my design process and always keep the end goal in mind. Additionally, I'm skilled in communicating effectively and collaborating with SMEs, project sponsors, and other stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes and meet established timelines.
As a lifelong learner, I have pursued additional education and training to complement my work experience, including earning my Applied Instructional Design Certification. What I have enjoyed most in my varied career is taking on learning and development projects. That was a key factor in my decision to pursue individual contributor roles - to be able to focus solely on learning and development as my day-to-day work. From designing eLearning courses, video tutorials, and job aids to creating instructor-led training (ILT), I've thoroughly enjoyed engaging in instructional design work and creating learning experiences for others. I'm passionate about helping others learn, designing creative solutions to address gaps, and helping learners improve their skills and performance.
In my role as an eLearning Specialist within IT Operations and Services at a global oncology company, I created digital learning content to support team members as they engaged with existing systems and learned new platforms. I had an integral role in developing some of the processes and structure of our area, including redesigning the IT onboarding process and implementing a Knowledge Base within the Service Now platform to host IT help resources.
In my current role, I work within the online learning division of a company that provides training and professional development for individuals in life sciences and the pharmaceutical industry. My focus is on creating eLearning modules to help individuals identify and apply key regulations and requirements to their work, particularly in the areas of drug development, clinical trials, and pharmacovigilance. In this position, I have enhanced our training by creating sequenced, scalable content chunks, paired with scenarios, case studies, and real‑world examples that directly apply to learners' roles. I have also established the visual brand for our online learning products and developed a comprehensive style guide that standardizes design practices across all digital learning content.
